I can vouch for some of this. When I was staying at the Venetian there was a Houdini Magic Store on the shopping level and they were pushing this trick pretty hard giving constant demonstrations. If you purchased it they would personally take you into a room and teach you how to do it.

It seems like a pretty cool trick. I didn't buy it but I ended buying some simpler tricks for my 6 yr old.
