A friend of mine, who's a pot smoker, makes around that much. I think he works in education.

Special ed. is full of pot smokers, and they're always in demand.

If I remember correctly, George Soros, one of the richest men in the country and the owner of University of Phoenix (among other things) is a big ole stoner. He just drives his boat out into international waters and tokes up, legal as can be.

there's so many jobs that you can do that pay $100k+. the problem is most all of them drug test.

a few of my options I've thought about is...

locomotive engineer

nuclear power plant operator

work in stucco or even have your own company that does it

some jobs with the electrical companies too

etc..

there's so many random jobs like that that require little-no schooling/degrees that pay a lot.

Don't expect to be making 80k out of college. Pick a career that you will enjoy, and one where there's possibility for advancement. If you're good at what you do, then you can make 80k+ a year. The highest paid friend I have (straight out of college) makes 65k. Granted she majored in nanoengineering and is now working for Exxon. Most higher paid jobs don't drug test. But that's only in my experience with the people I know. The only time you can get a high paying job without an education is if you are an incredibly intelligent person and are extremely skilled. Otherwise if you're an average person like most of us, going to school is really the best way to go. Going to school teaches you to think about things in different ways, and with the more knowledge you can gain, you can use it to your advantage. Just taking some basic economics classes will give you a better idea of how you should use your money.

oh of course, choosing my career has always been one of the most important things to me. It's just always been implanted in my brain ever since I was little to do something I love.

I'm just throwing some ideas out.

Seriously, if I wanted to I could just throw the next gay guy I come across right up against a wall and give him an anal assault and he wouldn't complain one bit.

Combining my and my wife's income and we make over 6 figures. Throw in where we live, two small children, and its still an issue to buy a 1/4 for $120. Believe it or not, money is tight.

My wife is in corporate and doesn't smoke. I work in government.

Hey, if I was single, no kids, just me making $80k, I would be buying 1/2 automatically every month.
