alright, here's my friend's situation

my friend have a urine and hair follicle drug test coming up in ~ 7-10 days. my friend has smoked weed twice in the past 2 months.... once was on April 7th and the other time was maybe a few weeks before that. Now, my friend has also taken 2 x 30mg of adderall, once today and once two weeks ago.

here is what my friend plans to do... since my friend hardly ever abuses these drugs my friend hears that they will get out of her system fairly quick ~ 1-3 days if my friend drinks a lot of cranberry juice and my friend just keeps running / working out...

but what my friend is worried about is the hair follicle test. my friend has heard that even if you use a drug once, it will stay in your hair for roughly 90 days...

my friend has heard of de-tox shampoo that you use directly before your hair drug test and my friend actually has another friend that used it 3 years ago and it worked...

but my friend has also heard that these companies testing know if you use a de-tox shampoo because it kills everything!

I guess, my question to you is, will my friend be fine to use this de-tox shampoo to pass his hair follicle test or will they fail him on the spot??

i have heard that companies know that you use it, but since you are testing for a job, they will not care, it only matters if you're being tested, and you have been caught before with drugs in your system...

i don't know... he's really stressing out... ne words of advice?? thanks =D

two uses aren't enough to show up in a hair test.

if you want to be sure, however, buy a product like zydot or toxin wash.

you could also try a simple home remedy: mix up a paste of baking soda with a little water. baking soda is a base. The high pH helps open up the hair cuticle, allowing chemicals to clean it out. Then use any shampoo or product which contains a high concentration of propylene glycol (found in most soaps and shampoos). This is the active ingredient in zydot and TW, and indeed anything that claims to clean out drugs from hair. Old formulas of Nexxus Aloe Rid contains a high concentration of Propylene Glycol.

are you absolutely sure that even if he's used them twice that they will not show up on his hair test? I have heard that even using it once it will show up... also, these drug testing centers... they know if you use de-tox shampoo right? will this fail him automatically?

i dont know who told you that one use is detectable, or that products can be in some way detected.

As a rule of thumb, three uses is the threshold for detectability. Labs do not and cannot detect any cleansing product.

You ought to do some research about how tests are done, it'll make you feel more confident.

i would refer - your friend - to the marijuana.com forums. some people there have strong scientific credentials and have passed multiple tests despite heavy drug use.

look for posts from a user called 'Jerry G' and another user called 'Sec.' They're very experienced and will be able to advise you better than me.

But its my opinion that you don't need to worry about it.
