Will I pass pre-employment from Labcorp? Dilution or Sub?

Hi. Been a long time lurkerer and info here has helped, but i'm kinda confused on this one. Here goes:

5' 8" 180 been smoking on and off (i would say above average stuff). I smoked heavily for a week (about 4 times a day) and stopped this Jan 1st.

Have a pre-employment with Labcorp which will probably be on Monday, so will be 18 days clean. Have been drinking lots of water/cranberry juice/tea and eating a low-fat diet. I also take a multi vitamin (which runs about $70/bottle) that has lots of suppliments.

I am worried because, in the past, when I was an on and off smoker, i was able to pass randoms (sometimes with 3-4 days after) but after heavily smoking, i don't know if i gave myself enough time, since i didnt' plan for a pre-employment test.
I have the powdered urine (which i plan to use in case of a emergencies) I would use it, but i'm worried that I won't do it correctly-mostly the temp would be wrong, or something would go wrong and the employer would know.

Would dilution work? The vitamin i use makes your pee turn yellow...easily. I also have creatine suppliments. and have used this method before (as mentioned) and passed a random but with a different company. Do pre-emplyoments actually break down all urine tests in the lab or only if a substance comes up positive?

Although you could make an argument for substitution, I think your best bet is dilution.

At 18 days clean, you are just slightly shy of the typical three weeks needed for a heavy smoker to test negative. If your heavy use was only for a week however, I think you are OK now. To be safe use your dilution method, drinking plenty of fluids several hours before the test. Never use the first void (or even second if you can help it) of the day.

If you decide to substitute, make sure your technique keeps the urine between 92 and 100 degrees. Although in an unobserved collection nobody is watching, somebody may be listening and you won’t have access to water.

In the lab the urine is screened with a test much like a home test (immunoassay). Only if it is positive do they perform more specific testing.

Not really sure what this has to do with anything, most kits come with more than enough fakie to give the requisite 50ml for a test and you do all the prep at home before you get to the lab so the lab end is open the bottle and dump it in the vial.

Which, for a pre-employment screen, they won't. You'll fail and be gone and some moron who doesn't smoke will get hired and fuck it all up because he's a fucking moron! But its all good since at least he isn't one of those evil pot smokers!

so i'm hearing both. i see from reading the posts here that people have trouble getting the temp to the right level. that's what i'm afraid of. i'm still unsure about the process, so they WILL kinda pre-test it before they send it to the lab?

It depends:

If it is a DOT (federally regulated) drug test, it will be collected and sent to the lab without local testing.
A lot of employers will have all of their drug tests sent to a lab in accordance with DOT standards.

If it is an instant drug test, it will be tested locally. If the instant (immunoassay) is positive (sometime called “non-negative”), it should be sent to a lab for confirmatory testing (GC/MS).

doing the test tomorrow it is a 10 panel. i think i'm leaning towards subbing, but i'm worried that the temp wouldn't be right. any tips?

I'd call it between 100 and 95/6, maybe closer to 97. Make sure the temp strip is as far away from the heat source as it can be, two pair of briefs with the bottle tucked closest to the body. Be nice to the young lady doing the test too, she probably doesn't want to be there either.

took 5 panel drug screen on the 7th now the 11th day of the month the 7th was on a friday morning now tuesday the 11th is this normal and potentiol employer has not heard back either

If you just did a prior cleanser you would have little to worry about in my own experience many years ago as a everyday smoker tested the next day but did the tea solution and past (piss was clear, no color). Btw, the lab techs (most) aren't Nazis and are just there to collect a check and could give a shit as long as they get their sample. Most probably smoke.

I took a 5 panel screen purchased from eBay. Cost me 4 dollars to ensure I don't waste money on quick fix. Although if I were to sub again I'd get the 90ml bottle of synthetic. Last time it was barely enough to reach the 60ml required. Passed after 8 days clean didn't call me until after a week. If the initial test is positive, then it goes through the gas chromatography unit and us signed off by a doctor of osteopathy. Pretty strict tracking system from collection to testing.
