adderall and hair drug test

Hey everyone,

I took adderall 5 times unprescribed in the past month over a span of three weeks...I'm really worried that I will have to take a hair drug test in the next month or so and I'm afraid that it will show up. I haven't taken any other drugs and don't plan on it...
Couple questions..
1.) how long will it stay in my hair that they drug tests will pick up?
2.) what is the best way to get it out... I have heard so many different methods but I want tried and true recommendations...
any help or advice will be great!

90 days:They test 1 1/2" of hair. Hair grows about 1/2" a month.

well i understand shaving my hair would be the best method, I don't think as a female i could rock the britney spears look, I'm applying at some big companies and i don't think that will be socially accepted haha, thanks for the suggestion though!

I was thinking more a long the lines of Toxin Wash and what not, I don't have that much chemicals to get rid of, but they will still show up I think. Does anybody have any stories with using adderall and these hair products?

Or should I worry with only five pills? That will still test positive right?

depending on where they take the hair sample from on the body they can get up to a 5 year history. while it's not socially acceptable to rock the britney look I would consider doing so in all private areas as a reasonable precaution as this can be explained as good grooming if needed.

not sure what to tell you about the hair on your head, shampoos will not wash it out, the test is for the chemical makeup of the hair itself - though I'm not sure I would be overly worried about 5 pills worth, it really depends on what chemicals they actually test for and the actual threshold levels they consider as a positive result.

so toxin wash and all that wont work at all? people say it reduces the level in their hair by 50% and that would make my case almost minimal.... any recommendations on those treatments?

a quick google search on how hair tesing works will bring up a dozen or more FAQ's that all have the following basic info:

Introduction
Hair drug testing has been around for many years. A hair test will register drugs that have been consumed in the past 90 days. Hair drug tests are more accurate than urine tests, and can't be manipulated by cleansing products.

How Hair Testing Works
Once consumed, drugs are trapped within hair follicles. Only 40 mg of hair is needed to test for several different types of drugs. A chemical is applied to the hair to test for metabolites. The strength of the metabolites determines how long it has been since the drugs were consumed. Typically, a hair drug test can determine if drugs have been used in a 90 day period, but that number can go down based on the hair's growth cycle. For a more accurate test, cut the hair as close to the root as possible. Body hair can also be tested for drugs.

Detecting Drugs
Most major drugs can be detected using the hair method. Street drugs like opiates, cocaine, PCP, methamphetamines, ecstasy and marijuana are most commonly detected. Drugs like opiates, cocaine, PCP and methamphetamine travel out of the urine and blood within days--which is why hair testing is preferred.

Way back in the 60s tox screens were being done,except at that time they were checking to see if one was addicted to heroin hey you gotta love the system for this one

yes the system sucks now haha... thanks for all the research, i truly appreciate it, trust me i have done a lot of research but just got a lot of mixed recommendations on whether all the toxin washes etc. actually worked. I figured I ask you all on this forum since maybe there were some people that weren't paid to write a success story or paid to write a website which I have come across multiple times unfortunately...

So the question still remains, has anyone had success using toxin wash or any hair product of similar nature, in getting out amphetamines aka adderall of their hair?
