Drug Testing in Home Depot

Does anyone know if Home Depot drug tests during the interview? Or will it come after you receive the job?

In my experience of having a drug test, it isn't on the day of the interview, but rather scheduled through a lab of some sort.

Although I could be wrong there..... but in most cases the job offer is contingent on a 'pass' on the test. i.e. they don't hire you then fire you if you fail... the just wait.

I worked for Lowe's and it was on the second interview, they didn't tell me before hand, they just said take this paper down to the lab which was a private company a mile away.

My friend got hired the same time. He thought he was going to fail his test, they told him he needed to go back and have a retest,but they never scheduled it!

Thanks guys, just talked to a friend who worked there. Unless things have changed in the past few years, they will called you a week or 2 after the interview and you have a week to schedule it. Fyi

Bull-shit. A drug test to work at Home Depot or Lowe's? How humiliating, what a fucking joke. I know the economy is bad, but do your best not to work for such a caveman controlling company. Why should they own you? Especially what they pay. Fuck them

i live in the same town as xmsx. job opportunities aren't very abundant here, unless you wanna work as a telemarketer.

sometimes you just gotta get clean for a couple weeks
(and this is coming from someone who has to get drug tested once a week)

Maybe, just maybe, if people like you weren't so complacent, as a large group (that's what unions are for, dur) and things wouldn't have come to this. So don't blame the messenger, I'm in a union where this shit doesn't fly.

Complacent or not, it's almost impossible to unionize nowadays. The unions will die out with attrition, sadly.
