i have a test on thurs...i believe its hair as thats what i found in the database at test clear. This is an great job and i want to make sure i pass. I just started the first step and would appreciate some direction. I soaked my head in vinegar for 15 minutes...I could not find the vo5/aloe anywhere so i settled on this organic root stimulator called olive oil creamy aloe shampoo that I purchased at Target. It says on the front it removes calcium build-up restores moisture gently cleans and neutralizes. ok...i took that and mixed it with 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and 1 tablespoon of regular chloride bleach. The mixture did not bubble up, i left it on my head for 5 minutes, it did not sting at all. Am I missing something here?

One more thing. my drug of choice is coke...i dont do anything else. I did smoke a few hits of pot about 3 weeks to a month ago, but before that I had not smoked in prob 15 years. any direction or additional advice is appreciated. thanks!

Hi all... I put my backstory here.

For the TL;DNR (To Long; Did Not Read) crowd:

I'm a 30 year old white man, 180lbs, 5' 9", dark brown hair.

I am a light users and stopped regular once-a-week use over 3 months ago. I had a life shattering event thrust into my life (family member found out they had cancer) and I lit up one joint back 5 weeks ago.

Now I have a stunning job offer...hinging on a hair test...which I take Monday morning.

It's Friday at 5pm and they didn't warn me any sooner than 11am today.

I ran to the local headshop because I knew they had 'body' cleaner and thought that they would have something to defeat the hair test.

All they had was this "Dr. Greens Wash Away Shampoo" in a small 1oz bottle. $20 was nothing so I bought it but...can I trust something that costs $20 to clean my hair out?

So I did some research and ran across Ya Hooka. I don't like the idea of tide/acne remover/vinegar...and to be honest I don't have a lot of money left in the bank to pick up mass amounts of this stuff however, that link posted on "how to beat a hair drug test" did state that the white male that smoked once a week did pass.

Well I'm going to try it out. I'll try ldavisa and Mac's method...and just to make sure, I'll use the Dr. Greens too.

I'm a wreck I am so nervous but I'm going to try this once a day starting today and then the morning of my test.

I'll be back to tell you if this works or not.

To prepare, I have done the following:

Saturday

• 8:45 am: I shaved all my body hair down to less than a 16th of an inch. I left enough there so it looks like I shaved this weeks ago...well before I heard about the test.

• 10:30 am: I started the Ida method..and it hurts like hell! First I warmed some Apple Cider Vinegar to just below scalding and drenched all my hair (~1 inch long) with this. I let this sit for five minutes and then I put in my pre-mixed Ida Solution. (I did 1 cup of Head and Shoulders Sensitive Care with Aloe (has Aloe Barbadensis leaf extract in the ingredients), 1 tablespoon of Clorox Bleach, 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide). Because I know I would have my hands working in the bleach and didn't want any more chemical burns than I needed to, I used vinyl disposable gloves on my hands. I set my cell phone for multiple alarms eight minutes apart (leaving me time to put in the solution, let it set, then rinse time). I took a handful of the Ida solution and worked it into my hair for at least 3 minutes each time. I let it set for a minute, and then worked it again until the alarm went off. I rinsed then reapplied the solution. At the third solution application, I started to feel a tingling burning. At the fourth I was definitely feeling a burning, especially where the shampoo mixture had trickled onto the back of my neck. In fact, right before the final alarm, I was gnashing my teeth. This hurt like hell! But a douse of water from the shower head really helped that. I worked the water through my hair for a good 10-15 minutes, making sure I had removed all the solution. My test isn't until Monday so I can't use my Dr. Greens shampoo yet.

• 1:00 pm I sent the girlfriend out to the store to pick up some "Just For Men" hair coloring before she heads to work, a shade lighter than my hair color for two reasons. 1) My stylist will not be able to color my hair since she is ill and I don't trust the other places in town (bad experiences) 2) I miss judged the money in my bank account and wouldn't have enough for a cut and a coloring. So, Sunday I plan on applying this after my last Ida/Mac session, and then have my hair cut in the late afternoon to just under 1/2 inch. Then I will use my 'Dr. Greens"

• 9:00pm I did another Ida Method shampoo. It hurt right away this time and by the end I really was hurting. I think don't dare pull back on the Bleach because I think that is what my be the key ingredient in this. My scalp hasn't ever felt this clean and I know I don't have any dandruff anymore hehehe.

• 10:00 pm My girlfriend gets back from work and pounces on me. Seems the idea of a 'porn star shave' (as she calls it) drove her quite nuts while she was at work and the idea worked up something awful. When she hit the door, I was walking towards the kitchen and I wasn't able to get the entire sentence "Hello, love" out before she had me in a pretty savage lip lock. I think it sounded something like "Hell..murffelll.... Mhhhmmmm". Needless to say, pass this test or not, I'm going to be a happy man for the next few weeks.

• 4:00 am Well, I didn't get any sleep last night and she just drifted off so I thought I would post quick before I sacked out. I'm going to do another Ida solution tomorrow morning, try an Ida solution around noon along with a MAC method. In the afternoon, I will do one final Ida solution and then have my hair colored.

Sunday

• 10:00 AM I first heated up some Apple Cider Vinegar and worked it into my hair. I used a shower cap and then put two HOT towels (right from the dryer) on my head to cover the shower cap. I saw another person posted this worked for them, so heating the hair couldn't hurt any. After 10 minutes, I put in my first round of Ida Solution and let that soak for 5 minutes. I washed this out with hot water and then soaked the hair in Ida Solution three more times. At the end, I washed out my hair, used straight Suave with Aloe shampoo and finally I put in some regular Tide liquid to strip the hair from any chemicals.

• 5:00 PM I repeated the same steps taken at 10am.

• 9:00PM Again, I repeat the Ida method and follow up with a single step of the Mac method. After rinsing my hair out VERY well, I have my hair bleached, then colored with some "Just For Men". My shockingly bleached blond hair finally returned to (surprisingly) near my natural hair color.

Monday

• 7:00 AM I washed this morning with Head and Shoulders w/Aloe then with Suave with Aloe then with TeaTree Conditioner (has aloe and menthol).

• 12:00 PM I washed my hair with Head and Shoulders w/Aloe then with Suave with Aloe and then Dr. Greens Cleaning Shampoo.

• 1:00 PM SOB's took my hair...and more than I thought they needed too She wasn't nice about it and seemed bored when she took the sample. The company taking the test first said my hair was a bit too short and called the company hiring me. The HR assistant thought they may need to have me wait until my hair grows out to 1.5 inches or more before I could get the job since they required a 90 day history, but the her boss told the testing company to just take the damn hair sample. They were suspicious that I didn't have any body hair they could cut but I told them the reason was because I go to the lake often and didn't like having the appearance of a Wookie. That got a chuckle and they didn't question me about it again.

If I fail this hair test, it isn't from a lack of trying!


Cross your fingers and pray for a piss test since I KNOW I can beat that without anything (4 almost 5 weeks ago was my last joint and 3-4 weeks before that was the previous joint)

I had a few people ask about my hair test so here is the info about my experience. MY EXPERIENCE IS NOT REPRESENTATIVE OF WHAT YOURS MAY BE LIKE! I just want to make that clear in case someone comes back and says that their test wasn't like mine and thinks I gave them bad information. Just for clarification, my sample will be tested by Quest Diagnostics.

When I went in, they greeted me and took my photo ID to verify I was me

Anyway, they took me back to a small office where they sat me down in a blood sampling chair and the doc wrote down information from my license onto the screening paperwork. Next, he walked behind the chair, pulled back some hair 1/2 way between the top of my head and the bottom of my hair cut. He put a hairclip in my hair to hold my hair back and took the sample.

The sample, surprisingly, was not right to the scalp. My girl took a left over hair from the cut and we measured it (not including the folicle or the hair below the surface...we marked it with a perm marker) as a little over 1/5th of an inch left. We measured and found it was a 4 1/2" strip of hair horizontally (easily hidden by the hair above) and a really thin line vertically (less than 1/8 inch)

He had me sign and date the sealed sample bag, verify the bag's number to the information form and then put my signature, DOB, phone #, and address on the information form.

As a side note, the guy was a bit rude. He asked (so much fake interest in his voice I nearly laughed at his attempt to make small talk) how my day was going, and when I decided to play along and tell him my plans for the day (heading to the lakes) he just grunted. Nothing against any of this advice but personally I have found that vinegar isn't that bad and won't hurt you if taken in moderation. In fact it can be very beneficial.

I personally cure my upset stomachs by drinking a mixture of two teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar in one-cup water. My grandmother gave it to me as a kid and I've used it may times in my adult life.

Also I learned from a friend in the Army (who learned from his Sargent) to add a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar to a quart of drinking water. Helps to deal with heat stress (he was in Iraq) and it also helps to repel mosquitoes.

A tablespoon of apple cider vinegar also cures my hiccups immediately. If they get annoying and I can't stop them, ACV works like a charm every time.

I know this isn't urine-test related but I did want to point out that vinegar isn't as horrible as some posters have made out.

I didn't use Zydot and I passed (when I know I would have been screwed otherwise!).

I just heated up some Apple Cider Vinegar and worked it into my hair. I used a shower cap to cover my vinegar-soaked hair, and then put two HOT towels (right from the dryer) on my head to cover the shower cap. The heat opens the hair and allowed the chemicals to work out the chemical markers in your hair. I kinda like to think of hair as if the strands were like pine cones. It takes heat for the leaves to expand and expel the 'seeds' inside.

I saw another person posted this worked for them, so heating the hair couldn't hurt any. After 10 minutes, I put in my first round of Ida Solution and let that soak for 5 minutes. Since I couldn't find any V05 with aloe, I did 1 cup of Head and Shoulders Sensitive Care with Aloe, 1 tablespoon of Clorox Bleach, 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide. I washed it out after the 5 minutes and shampooed again with the solution. I did it three times in three sittings (9 times total).

At the end, I washed out my hair, used straight Suave with Aloe shampoo, straight head and shoulders and then finally I put in some regular Tide x2 (the concentrate) liquid to strip the hair from any chemicals.

I also had my GF help me put some "just for men" hair coloring into my hair prior to my test. I don't think this helped in regards to my drug test any because it doesn't have any bleaching agents...just dyes. However It did wonders for my gray hairs.

I'm ~185lb, 5' 10" white male with dark brown hair. I was a regular, daily (one joint) smoker up to sixty days prior to my drug test. At 30 days prior I smoked ~20-30grams.

I am a TRUE BELIEVER! This works and it's what brought me to this forum. I'm convinced it can and will work. My sister's brother is amazed since he knows how much I was smoking prior to this event.

Couldn't you just say fuck the shampooing and all that other bullshit seeing hows all you're doing is contaminating the test with conditioner? I mean really dude................ .I'm just asking not trying to start any shit.I've taken a hair test and passed only because I've been clean for awhile.My employer requires hair test for employment and monthly urine tests so you could see my curiosity.I believe you(IDAVISA) stated that if all else failed the conditioner would contaminate the test.Just looking for an answer.Fucking A to all those who have passed the dreaded bullshit hair test.Later

Actually, you can't. The reason is because the shampoos and conditioners you can buy online or at the head shops just coat/mask the hair. The testers got wise to that really fast and now they wash the sample of your hair prior to testing it. Even the simple testers wash the sample now before throwing the hair into the test solution.

I'd say you can certainly try just conditioning your hair to mask it but I'd also suggest you get your resume together as you are most certainly going to fail. Don't take my word for it...others are saying the same thing.

Not trying to upset you but this thread was started a year ago when testers just started to wash the samples. Now they all do (from the research I have done prior to my own test). Masking shampoos and conditioners don't remove the chemical markers...they just try to seal the hair to prevent the test solutions from making their way inside the hair.

It all comes down to how bad you want the job/need to pass the test. In my case it was a MUST that I get this job so I wasn't willing to risk my chance at just a simple covering shampoo. I took the time and IMHO did it right by using IDA's method....and I passed my test. My ex-roommate, however, just informed me on Saturday that he failed his hair test to get into the same company I work for. He smokes less than me but he tried Zydot (or whatever it is called) and they clocked his PPM way above the cut-off limit.

Simply comes down to the fact, if you want to be lazy and try just covering you can do it but don't expect to pass. Link above has many sob stories of people trying to do the exact thing you are thinking of. Many people in this thread and that link, including myself, have done the IDA or Mac method and passed our tests. Some don't some do, but nearly everyone that tries to cover their hair today will fail. IMHO it's not worth slacking.

I personally used Head and Shoulders w/Aloe when doing the IDA treatments but when using straight shampoo to get the chemicals out, I used Suave with Aloe. I think Ida or someone mentioned in this long thread that as long as it is extract from the Aloe plant you are good to go.

For some reason in my area I cannot findANY shampoo with aloe with the exception of Suave. I didn't want to get one of the more expensive "boutique" shampoos w/ aloe, I would imagine that content is very different. Well, I have the test tomorrow afternoon, so I will let you guys know what happens! And the results later next week probably. Thanks, if anyone has any extra pointers they would be appreciated!!!!

tests take 2-5 days to come back depending on the lab, their load and if they need to retest your sample.

The only way to effectively pass a urine test is: DON'T SMOKE FOR 30 DAYS!!! I failed a drug test once after drinking only cranberry juice before the test. I came up diluted which is an automatic postive and guess what, I still came up positive for weed so it was a double whammy. Pills, herbs and the like are all gimmicks. You could feasibly use fake or someone else's urine if you had a heater and it wasn't monitored, but this is risky. For those of you who get randoms, shouldn't be smokin if you operate machinery but not much you can do to get around that.

I WISH it would not take longer than 2- 5 days. But the sample first has to go on it's long journey from Central Florida to Las Vegas and it is a holiday weekend. I will certainly be chiming in with the results ASAP!
