Home Brew Nute Recipe
I would greatly appreciate the forums' feedback on what the best home brew nute recipe is. I have decided to stop buying pre-formulated nutes and start making my own. Currently I need a tea recipe to be used in hydro/coco.
I have been experimenting with black strap molasses, water soluble sea kelp, bat guano, B1, water soluble humic acid and fulvic acid. This is mainly as a grow additive to the last of the prepackaged stuff I have. I am also looking into comfrey and alfalfa for the main nutrient tea. I searched this but could not find recent references. If someone has a link, please let me know. Thanks in advance to all.

Tea Article
A Basic Compost Tea Guide Lacto Bacilli Plants That Help Our Plants Feeding With Alfalfa i have these threads all subscribed. excellent info, been keepin tabs on em. i top dress ewc rather than brew teas for the simple reason that i dont have an airpump. that lactos bacilli however i HIGHLY reccomend to anyone who builds their own soil and for ppl looking to add more beneficials to their current medium (not so sure about use with hydro, tho). it's extremely easy to make, and anyone can make it with ingredients they already have. i innoculate my medium when i first mix it/wet it (2 tbsn a gal h20), then once more after i amend any nutes to my medium (same amount). imo, it breaks down the ingredients faster, making your soil ready to use quicker, and adds more beneficial microbes and bacteria to the medium. ive been thinking about switching over to making my own ferts, but until i get more $ to invest into this, im still going to use bought nutes and ferts. i know you didnt ask for all these links, but i would love to switch over from pre-packaged nutes and castings/compost to being self-reliant. ive even thought about culturing my own mycorrhizae but it's pretty involved. anyways, these links are all from the organic soil forum @ ic. im not familiar with hydro, but these should be able to help either way.

This is great stuff "SEE", THANKS. I am trying to gather as much data as I can before next spring. I have an E&F system with Coco that works well. I have found that the coco holds the organic nutes better than clay; just more "flushings" needed. Thanks again "SEE".
