Guide for Novice Growers.

I'm in the process of writing a little Beginner's Growing guide, kinda just for fun, kinda as a favor to people I know without grow experience. It's going pretty well, but I'd love to have some fellow YaHookans read through it, help me edit and get the relevant info across clearer. Also, I'm looking for a free, easy way to upload the Word file to the web, as I hate printing out 50 (exaggerated) pages of hard copy.

Its already too long to be put on the forums IMO, but maybe a condensed version is in order, idk.

Also, I'd love to talk to some of you with more of a hydroponics background. I'm a soil guy by habit and preference, so my knowledge regarding most hydroponics systems is lacking. Anything I use will be credited to the original author of course. So, can I expect any help with this later in the week (hopefully I'm done by then)?

Someone told me about docs.google.com, but I really don't know much about it, or the formatting it converts to. I was hoping it would make it pretty easy though, just post the document link and off it goes.

I'm closing in on being finished with the first draft now, but I need some people who are careful readers to go through it with me. I'm one of those people that reads fast, but I tend to miss grammatical errors and slight misspells. I think I've gotten most of them, but like I said, I'm known to miss certain things.

if you're using microsoft word, .doc is the format word saves in.

the site i posted converts .doc files to .pdf, which is adobe, and most everyone has reader, or a program which can view .pdf files.

just go to that site, scroll down to the bottom, follow the prompts, select your file(s), and boom.

If you need some tips on how to run a hydro table I do believe mothernature might know a thing or two.

I think a highly relevant point to touch on is one that people in all areas of the growing, plant game forget is that they are dealing with sentient beings that deserve their respect. They were put here for the growers material gain and if they shit on the plants life, the plants will be shit outa life pretty soon.

Plants aren't hard to grow, but they are easy to kill. If you have any kind of green thumb you know the dichotomy I'm talking about.

i talk to my plants. i comment on their growth, and smell, and overall lovelyness.

in fact, i always feel sorry when i cull males. after that amount of time babying them, it's always kind of a pity to chop em down. harvest time, included.

Yes yes you have to get on the level with them and understand their needs and goals.

Nothing more beautiful than a ganja plant maximising it's potential.

Get with the plants- the mind of a cannabis plant - they do what they do- it's interesting and beautiful in a planty kind of way .

The thing is yields and quality will improve with a bit of love.

If like me you smoke what you're growing then it's a no brainer.

Slaves are not the most productive.

Offgassing....Ive never heard of it before, but Ive never done a tent setup either. What gas is it, and could adequate ventilation solve the issue? Thanks for bringing it up, Ill try to find a place to add it.

Well, I still need to work out some formatting shit to make it easier to read, and then probably an index of sorts so you don't have to read page by page to find certain things. Other than that, I'm closer and closer to rapping this thing up and putting it online for everyone to use and enjoy.
