I had previously messed about with ozone in nutes thinking that the increased oxygen would somehow be beneficial. Suffice to say that O3 is a great oxidizer of organics and as such helps to clean water but complicates a nutrient solution. I am not however happy to leave well enough alone.

While setting up a clone starter I began to think about a similar idea. Instead of just aerating the solution with atmospheric air through an aquarium air pump, would there be any benefit to injecting that airstream with a higher concentration of oxygen molecules? As I understand it O2 is not soluble in water, whereas O3 and other reactive forms of oxygen are.

Came across a cheap used O2 "generator" (they're actually concentrators) of the type commonly used by folks suffering from respiratory ailments.

I have two clone starters so as I begin filling them I'm going to try a little A/B comparison between the two. One will use the oxygen concentrator enhancement and the other will not. By using similar sized starters from common mothers I'm hoping to see that one provides better growth. If not, let me know if you need help breathing 'cuz "cheap" was still relatively expensive and this thing will be goin' up for sale real quick.
