Does anyone out there no the proper way to re-hydrate overcured product without hurting the potency or flavor?

Hey everyone, I had a batch of med's that accidentally got overcured and I know there are ways to re-hydrate it without hurting the product. I already know the best way is to NOT OVER CURE IT. But I'm beyond that point. If someone could enlighten me on the subject it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanx and have a great day

citrus will affect the aroma. its gonna smell like whatever peel you toss in there.

you could just use a piece of a damp paper towel. dont leave it in with the bud for too long as it could get moldy and possibly get the herb too wet

That's the worst that'll happen though, the peel will dry out before any long term damage can occur.

If it's TOO dry, grab a few cans of butane and have some fun. Mmmm, BHO...

I had a bag that I left in bag, got all crispy dry and shit overnight. See, I usually do the glass jar route to preserve freshness n flavor but I screwed up. So, I tried to do the whole orange peel bit, the lettuce. I could tell there was more moisture in the buds afterwards with both methods, but the bud with the lettuce smelled shwaggy, was less potent than it should have been, and the taste was off. The orange peel made the bud smell kinda like wet grass and kinda like an orange. Potency again went down, and the taste was less intense.

Maybe thats just me, but it seems like trying to rehydrate is bad on the connoisseur level. If you're dealing I can see it because weight is money, but for personal stash, nah. Just IMO, but I get a pretty consistent product so I know when potency is compromised. The high is king with me.

I would put it in a plastic container and line the underside of the lid with a small amount of water. I do this every couple of days to keep my really dry stash from getting to dry. You can check it every few hours and if the underside of the lid is already dry keep repeating until your herb is where you want it. The orange peel and other ideas will all work just fine but run the risk of changing or adding some aroma in there. Personally, I do like the slight lemon taste a lemon peel can add.

I know this might sound crazy (and I'm a bit late as I just joined the forum), but would a pressure cooker with a bit of distilled water work if the weed is kept well above the liquid in a colander or some such? You'd probably still want to do a couple of trial runs to get the timing right with a bit of scrag you don't mind losing first in case the heat or rapid rehydration does funny things... I'm just trying to think outside of the bag for future generations happening upon this thread.

I have heard that but have no personal experience with and am ignorant of the science behind it. I guess the potency of some of the baked goods I've had kept me from really thinking about it. I wonder if just a moderate heat being applied in order to raise the humidity and pressure in the cooker enough to moisten the weed a bit would be detrimental.

Of course, I do love me some root beer. Talk about some sticky bud! lol... j/k

Looks like vBulletin double posted for me when I used my browser's history function after being asked to log in again. Odd that a commercial forum app isn't designed to recognize such an action... or maybe I'm just dreaming again.

I've seen dealers spray their dry weed with cola to make it weigh more, be slightly sticky and smell good. It's a shit trick but some (most) people fall for it.
A pressure cooker would only bring the temp up to boiling(212f) while the best thc molecular recombinations occur around 350 f which is why baking brownies and cookies creates such a powerful product. The problem with high water concentrations is that the chlorophyll gets leeched out and the weed ends up dark shit brown to almost grey black. Potency is unchanged but the product looks and smells shitty. GRADUAL WATER ABSORPTION IS THE BEST WAY.
A piece of celery, lettuce or orange peel will quickly lose it's moisture into a more dry atmosphere. Change out the pieces every six hours and about a day later your weed will be at a more reasonable state of dryness.

thats a dirty fucking trick

bought a 20 sack of some hash off a random street dealer once (i know, i know) and upon closer inspection one or two of the little hash balls was a clump of clay.

the strange thing though was there was still probably over a gram of real hash and it was pretty decent too
