Grafting
I have been told that a tomato plant is closely structured like marijuana. I realize that a regular tomato plant's stalk is larger and has more bark than say a Cherry tomato plant. So my question is can I graft a cherry tomato plant to a marijuana plant?

Not sure if they are THAT close, I have my doubts.
They have to be pretty close to the same for it to take.

hops is in the Cannabidaceae family, I remember reading some old paper from the 70s talking about grafting a hops plant onto a marijuana root and producing thc containing hop flowers. whether or not this works in practice is for you to find out. I bet it'd be shitty even if it worked tho.

I've seen people graft fruit tree cuttings onto hardier non- fruit tree roots, the new growth is entirely of the fruit bearing type (Sage might know about this). So if you grafted hops onto cannabis sativa roots you wouldn't get any thc, just normal hops.

FG is right.
I have heard of people grafting cannabis to hops or vice versa. Whenever you graft any plants, the parts remain genetically separate. Hops, tomatoes, or whatever, grafted onto cannabis rootstock will always be hops, tomatoes or whatever and the roots will be cannabis. You will not get high from eating a tomato from this type of plant. I'm not sure that tomatoes and cannabis could be grafted, even if you wanted to. Now, there's always gene splicing, but that's somewhere in the future. |

I find it hard to believe that it would work.
I do, however, know that you can graft a tomato and potato plant together. I imagine you could do it with chile peppers too, since they are also a nightshade vegetable. Never heard of doing it with chronic, but it's definitely worth a shot I guess. Would be a fun experiment.
