Do you need the tds meter and all the stuff that normally goes along with hydro?
Lucky guy, they're the best Heri cross I've come across and I've tried lots

You probably do need a tds meter, but I've only got a pH pen ...... using run to waste means I just put the appropriate feed to the quantity of water added to the rez that day and job done

Yet another part of my keep it simple idea ...... I have enough trouble getting the pH right

I would have a problem with doing it every day myself. Some days are too busy to even get in there.
That's why the simple method appeals t me.
I like the system and have seen the buckets before so we'll give it a shot when flower empties.

Can't get over the weights

I've got some more of Mota's Herijuana as well, 5 I think.
I tried Sannie seeds version of the Heri but out of 3 strains of his we tried we were 0 for 30 germed seeds.
Upon contact with Sannie he stated he would send extras the next time we ordered.
Like we are going to toss more money into his non-germing seeds

since growing anything horizontally is nearly impossible, just curious as to why the inventor calls it vertical growing. (which caught my eye).

seems like, only the position of the light is different from most grows.

vertical lighting, ( lights inside a plant ring, outside plant ring, above ((and below))... I've seen before.)

nice plants..

Talking about the orientation of the lamp (bulb to some) as being hung vertically.
Although there are some who grow upside down

Dirty Harry cut at day 63, this side branch has super sticky, rock hard buds

This is not a good pic of the little plant, the flash has nearly burnt it out, you can see the big one in the background .... it was bigger than I thought when I actually cut it

Initial smoke testing the KT was good, super smooth, rich cedar resin smell turning to distinct hash smell/taste as the spliff burns down .... very potent, 3 tokes had even me wasted ....

Meanwhile this is cooking away in the background, Killer Chemdawg at 50 days

Pics of this one coming down in 10 - 14 days

Hey Doc...

I was looking around and have seen the plants behind a screen rather than the screen put around the lamp. Have you seen that? What do you think about that method.. I am thinking it could be good and bad...maybe not worrying about your plants growing around the light but they probably don't get the benefit of that light either?

Probably a silly question but..do you totally drain your reservior before refilling it? So, you'd add the nutes, run that cycle and then do a just straight water? Def's like mg handled by folier feed?

Beautiful buds you got there.

Hi Jenna, I've seen screens all over the place, some without .... all I'm interested in is not burning my buds and this works perfectly

I only drain the rez when I put flush in and again when I switch to water

So on a daily basis if I top up with 10 litres, then 10 litres worth of feed goes in then pH adjusted ..... all nutes in the rez .... any extra Mg goes in the rez

The only thing I hand feed is the molasses, 3 hefty doses @ 2, 4 & 6 weeks flowering

Those buds have dried out the same size, much more amber trics than usual so should be even better smoke

The Dirty Harry is the producer, out does Critical Mass easily ....

Good to hear about the Dirty Harry. Have to remember to ask you the final tally on that one after it's dried.
Beautiful plants.

I haven't heard much about Karmatrain before you said you were growing it. May have to look into that one.

Karmatrain is clone only strain that circulates amongst a few growers in the UK

It was originally from Moonshineman and is Trainwreck x Buddha's Sister, Blue Buddha was a cross with Buddha's Sister, the Trainwreck takes it that bit further ..... it's the best Trainwreck I've smoked, including some Arcata Trainwreck I got in Humboldt County from an old grower friend last time I was there

As far as I know the seeds are long gone .... pity

That is a shame. Seems we lose more strains every year.
Moonshineman made Ultimate mooshine as well. Damn the clone onlys.

Does our eastern buddy still have that 80's NL?

Having the bulb vertical is rather "old fashion". The scorch screen is something I would have doubted, as the screen does block some light. The fan placement is truly innovative.

Roll them all up together and you have something fantastic.

Those plants are amazing. Well done Bush Dr, well done indeed.

Any plans for CO2 enrichment?

It was indeed a very good smoke, it stood alongside the best today has to offer, it would be a shame if it was to disappear

Mothernature ... the system relies too heavily on a fast through put of air to allow switching the fans off for CO2 to be of any use

BTW Final weight for the Karmatrain is 22&1/4oz manicured bud from 4 plants, one topped 7, the smallest was 4+

Maybe I can convince him to send it again one day

Those are some NICE weights Bushdr, congrats on another very fine harvest
Nice pictures in your galleries as well.

You grow in a 4' x 4' tent right? How do you get around to the back if you have issues?
Like pests, bugs and emergency water cleanup if need be?

Thanks Dan ..... I was pleased given the freezing weather here

As far as getting to the back plants is concerned for the first few weeks, up to 28 days it's not too bad after that, it's either with great difficulty or I just can't do it as the front plants are in the way .... if needs be I can remove the cage, but I use Mite Rid now and so far it's done the trick

Mite Rid comes from Oz but they have a US outlet @ Mite-Rid For the prevention and eradication of Spider Mites
