Yea, I just recently cleaned out all my sprinklers and flooded the lines. And I have a proper filter bag over the filter now that helps a lot. I cut down my feed time to twenty seconds every four minutes. I also bought a 1350gph pump that is helping tremendously. So far, so good.

Lookin' Schweeeet!
GD, just caught up on the Canna Aqua. Warnings not to use H2O2, but do use R/O water, and one of their enzymes eats dead roots. I'm gonna give 'em a whirl. See what ya mean about the boost price though.
Had a couple of questions for ya: What size are your root/spray chambers? What are the capabilities of your timer? How fine is the mesh on your filter bag? Are you using the full compliment of stuff that Canna recommends, or did you pick and choose? Another thought. If you keep the rez moving between cycles it helps keep the nutes in suspension. Yer lookin' like a new believer. Keep up the good work. It's a PITA but worth it.

Yea, Cannazym is what you're talking about regarding dead root material. Boost is a fermented molasses byproduct that is extremely efficient and unbelievable in its success. Unfortunately, I haven't had the money to purchase the full liter (it's like $110+tax), although I plan on purchasing Boost for the last 2-3 weeks of the 60 day strain that I'm dealing with and will flush the 60 day with a 10ml/g shot of boost. It is ridiculous. Regarding the "root/spray chambers", I am not sure what you are talking about specifically. Off the top of my head, in response to that, I am running a circular piece of PEX tubing with 5 sprinkler heads, within a 5 gallon bucket. I am using a Sentinel DRT timer that is currently working great. With regard to the Canna situation: I am using 10-11ml/g Aqua Flores A+B, 2ml/g Rhizotonic (due to flowering), 10ml/g Cannazym, and hit them with a 6ml/g splash of PK 13/14 when the green growth stagnates and pistils overwhelm the eye. Right before dime-size. Boost is the only thing missing. And I can't wait to throw it in the rez.

The one on the left is a 90-day Diesel variety. The one on the right is the White I have been showing.

This one right here has like a week and a half left on it. I had some tools on my floor and picked up a wrench to show the general length of this thing. I am hoping that it will all connect and make a nice forearm-like cola.

This one is awesome. It's currently wider and longer than the Snapple bottle.

@farmergiles - I have grown/seen the white before this and have also never seen colas like it. This is also the whitest I've ever seen it personally. I will show some pictures soon of the finished product and you'll see what I mean.
But even on the weaker cuts that I took, they still developed some serious chunks. Way heavier than my last batch. I think it has to do with the way I grew it this time, to be honest. The previous cycles of the white were done in Coco. It was a manual feed, which inevitably subjected the roots to improper feeding times, as you need to get Coco on a 50% wet/50% dry method. And that can become difficult when you have a monster of a plant in flower. The new method is continuous, with much more oxygen, and the root temperature stays pretty constant rather than being subjected to big fluctuations during the winter months.

Just took some stoned shots of a few buds of the White that I had on hand. My camera is not that good, neither was the lighting. But I have found that the new iPhone camera takes AMAZING shots of chronic. I am going to take some with that camera and then post them, and you will really be able to see what the chunks are like.
Also, just as an update regarding my spray time: I have been running the pump for 12 seconds every 5-6 minutes, rather than 20 seconds every 4 minutes. I noticed that I was soaking the root zone too much, so I cut it back and it worked great. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
