Cool White & Warm White T5's
Sup every1,
So I have a seedling that is going to be my "mommy" plant and she's under a 50w High Output T5's, it puts out 6,400 lumens. Anyway, I have 1 cool white and 1 warm white bulbs in right now and under her, should I just use the cool white since she is only going to veg almost forever? or should I keep it the way it is? Thanks, Learning247 |

LOL, at the time I was talking about my brother and I used the word "under" and my hands typed under. Okay I got Roach's vote for both.
So what about the plants that I am going to veg and then move to the flowering room? should I give them the same type of light? I have 4 foot T5's with 4 tubes. I guess I should alternate the tubes between cool and warm for my plants that re veggin? Thanks, Learning247 |

woah
a plant in veg state is no longer a plant in flower stage. I think you're talking of a clone female, cut from a female in flower ? The clone will forget about flowering and return to veg under the veg light cycle. So no, use the same cool light for all in your veg setup.

No, I may be not explaining this correctly.
I am going to have a mommy plant and I wanted to know if I should use: 1. Use Both Cool White Bulbs (Mommy plants). 2. Use 1 Cool White & 1 Warm White Bulbs (Mommy plants). Roach, I think you choose option # 2? Correct? Second question was. My plants that are vegging, should I put them under the same light setup (mix cool white & warm white bulbs) or just stick with all cool whites? I think I read somewhere that plants that are in the "veg" state should get both spectrum of light, I wanted to see if that was true or should just stick with the cool white strictly when I am vegging? Thanks, Learning247 |

For veg a bluer light is better. So the cool white should be better I think- so I'd go option 1.
"Daylight" bulbs should be even better. You don't need to give mother plants too much light, of course if they get more light they can grow quicker.

Thanks for your reply FG. I am trying to grow a bunch of seeds as mommy plants. I have W.W., NYPD, & Unknown strains, I will share with you guys once I have something going. Meanwhile I want to give the mommy plants alot of light because I want them to grow so I can clone and start growing them out. Once they (mommy) hits a certian height then I am going to cut down on their light.
Roach, sorry for the confusion. Thanks again, Learning247 |
