Made some budder

Then I made brownies with the budder. Tasted like fucking shit. Could barely choke one down. Any tips on how to mask the taste.

did you put the mix into a stocking, or cheese cloth, and squeeze out the green stuff to make the butter?

No, I just ran it thru a strainer. The recipe made the cheescloth step sound optional for texture purposes. Is that the reason for the taste?

oh dude
there's your problem the cheesecloth is essential
you can get one any grocery store, and pour your weed the cheese cloth and squeeze it thoroughly

i can't imagine how awful they' be with all the weed and stems still in there (no offense)

cheesecloth it up and you'll be said

The strainer had a tight mesh so the vast majority of the bud(I used strictly bud) didn't get thru.

The CIA could have used them to torture alqaeda suspects they were so bad. When I said "choke one down" earlier, I was being literal.

Next time try "water curing" the bud your gonna use for the budder.
Done right it removes most of the taste/smell/ and chlorophyll(green color) making it much easier to mask the taste!
There is a pretty good thread on it in The Cannabinol Connoisseur > cannabis cuisine
just search the forum for "water cure"

You're making canna-butter.

Budder is something completely different.

We have a canna-butter expert here, ask her...

When I am making butter or oil to cook with, I use an electric coffee grinder and grind the shit to a keif like almost-powder...It works pretty well and you can even strain the butter through a cheesecloth after infusion...

Like ~1~ said... we have an expert.... and PeaceLoveandJojo is her name-o....

Search up some of her threads.

If I'm not mistaken she rises/soaks the cannabis before the whole process begins and that leaches out some of that planty taste.

But check with and/or search some posts.

You will find you answer.

When I google either one, the same shit comes up. I thought "budder" was just a play on words.

When I made some I used mostly leaf and tips, even a male thrown in. I melted the butter real slow with the green, strained the butter through a stocking, put the resulting mix into the fidge. The butter rises and is easily removed. The liquid below is gross.
My cooking skillz are pretty l33t so the brownies were premium.
I dont think buds make better butter, this stuff almost killed me, I was trippin' balls.
I've a thread on it that's pretty good for the lolz if you find it, prob in the cuisine section.

My friends make butter with their vaped weed and give it to me.You'd think it wouldn't do much since it's been vaped but fuck me it is intensely potent.

Anyways I don't know the way they make it, but I find betty crocker pumpkin bars with frosting taste absolutely great and get me quite ripped.
