hash (cooking) oil recipe?

Made some hash brownies. The brownies were a mix, but figured I'd post the oil process in case anyone has any ideas to improve it.

Started out with a gram of some (dry, crumbly) butane hash oil. Put it in a small silicon dab container, and screwed the lid on tight.

Decarb - Put it in a ~240 df oven (tried for 200 but couldn't go that low) for 20 minutes. Let it cool.

Heated up some extra virgin coconut oil (still smelled like coconut) in a microwave to maybe 180-200df (felt like coffee). Pulled the dabs out of the silicon with a dabber and used a lighter to melt/drip it into the oil, where it dissolved pretty much immediately. Stirred.

Added 2 tsp of soy lecithin to the oil. Next time I'm going to try 1 tsp since it didn't fully dissolve. Stirred.

Any thoughts?

How'd they come out? How strong?

Used a gram of hash, how much coconut oil?

1/2 cup of oil, which is how much the brownies called for. ate three of the twenty and fucked me up pretty well. I think you could just add the hash to whatever the recipe calls for.

edit: i have a pretty decent tolerance though. im thinking these are at least 30mg a pop, maybe as high as 40.

and tasty. the coconut goes with the chocolate well. the dabs don't really effect the flavor as far as i can tell.

Nice. Yeah i like to bake brownies with coconut oil. (Regular brownies)

My two go to oils these days are coconut for baking or raw stuff like smoothies, avacado oil for frying.

One day ill get into edibles more. As of now i have no experience though.

Well except for the time i made a couple "firecrackers" with a recipe i got off of yahooka like 10 years ago with the first gram of weed i ever bought. Well only half of it. Smoked the first half. Didnt have any smoking devices tbough so i tried to make an edible with the rest.

Just used some oily natutal peanut butter on saltine crackers and sandwich the weed in between. Then wrap in foil and bake for idr how long.
Cant say if it worked though bevause i ended up going out and buying more and smoking. Id imagine itd work though lol.
And that was the beginning of stoner fenderbender.

If you try making edibles again I'd highly recommend de-carbing first. Been covered in a few threads here, but it's basically pre-heating the herb to convert THCA (not orally active) to THC (orally active).

The soy lecithin thing is something that I've never seen on yahooka, but have seen it on other sites and have heard from commercial producers that its a real thing. Supposedly its binds to the other fats (lipophillic) and also to water (hydrophillic) making it easier to digest (and thus feel stronger). Supposedly its used with pharmaceuticals to aid in digestive uptake, but I don't know it that's true. Would love for a more pharmacological-minded person to chime in.

I'd use coconut oil in other (non-marijjuana) things but its so expensive! Cheapest I could find it was like $10 for 16oz.

Oh yeah im much more up to date on edible procedure now compared to 15 yr old me lol.
Also it's funny i just read about lecithin a few days ago for the first time. Was about coconut oil edibles too lol.

And yeah coconut oil ain't the cheapest but it goes a pretty long way. A 16oz jar lasts me a good bit. I even use it to shave with as a shaving cream/oil. Works amazing. I also it for an after shave moisturizer and general after shower face moisturizer. Just a lil bit.

Avacado oil is expensive as fuk too. Worth it tho. Has a super high smoke point.
Supposedly people stirfry with refined coconut oil but idk it has always smoked up on me even on low heat the couple times i tried.

Costco has a wicked price on avocado oil. Tastes better than coconut when frying - mostly because it has no residual fry taste.

Its been a long time, but what I did was saute the weed in butter & strain it out & use it in brownies.

The ole lady would say 'you ate one of your brownies, didnt you!!'

uh, how'd you know?

You've been laughing like a hyena for an hour, at the news, , ,

the real secret to making brownies is to use pig fat (lard) and duck eggs
