Gray Mold Prevention

I've been researching around to try to find a way to prevent gray mold (botrytis) from infecting my outdoor plants. Botrytis is a disgusting blight that reduces your beautiful buds to a slimy paste. I've been hit every year. This is my main reason for finding an early strain, as this mold thrives in cool, damp conditions, which is exactly what our October is like here.

Most fungicides are not something you want to be using on your bud.

The article below states that surfactants can have a positve effect on the prevention of the mold. So maybe just giving a spritz of wetting agen or even just water with a few drops of soap could prevent the mold from staring.

The report "Surfactants Can Prevent Botrytis on Conifer Seedlings" is more detailed and conclusive than most canna articles I see, these guys are horticulturalists providing information, information to be evaluated and used depending on ones own conclusions.

Check out this bad bwoy, THIS is the way forward!

Fucking right man, looks good so far.

Is the FAQ eventually going to be written up instead of just post redirects?

EDIT: Noticed the OH FAQ is like that so far, nice.

That's one of the reasons I've tested the layout with the OH FAQ, it's already text driven and is much easier to transfer.

The bitch with the GrowFAQ is that much of it (the FAQ thread and the posts themselves) is in VBB code whereas the FAQ part of VBB likes html, doh! I have already (previous to the upgrade) been transferring some of the GFAQ into static html but it is long winded work, many of the threads have information in more than one post stretched across a whole thread. Copying and pasting isn't an option unfortunately. My initial plan, and this moves the general schedule we had for the GFAQ forward significantly, is to move the front pages of the FAQ thread into the FAQ section initially before moving all the posts themselves in. The latter part of this will require some thinking as to the most efficient way to do it. We'll see.

Mold resistant would be great as well, I'd really like to get a few strains to breed together randomly and be able to grow out all the seeds and pick the best ones. I'm not really up to that as of now, but sometime in the future..

I actually find the cold wet weather is bad for mould. It rains plenty in August and September, but it's usually followed by a warm, sunny day, which dries off the buds. Its the rainy days followed by cool overcast days that let the mould run rampant.

Well, we'll se wht happens this year. I've had good feeback on how the Mikado performs outside.

Thank you, I had this on my buds a couple of years ago, I just cut it off as close as possible while making sure it was all gone. Seemed to work. My current problem is a black something right in the newest growth on top of the plant. any advice would be great.
