Update of Phats garden

Well as it is sadly fast approaching the time when it becomes too hot for me too grow (flower room) in my current indoor location i have decided to flower out a few mothers along with a few choice clones. Im planning to have shut down the garden by the end of June and refurbish. There is some space left just about to sex my Appollo 11 seeds when they have been vegged a bit longer, im banking on the Apollo 11 finishing early like they say....i currently have 8 which im gonna sex and flower the females taking cuttings of each and keeping the best for a mother for next seasons grow.
The room at the moment has an Sweet Tooth #3 mother and clone and a pheno which hasnt been flowered b4 coz wasnt very desireble think its more NL#5 based, very stocky and a few other SSxNL clones along with the mother.
I have a smaller Sweet Tooth mother and SSxNL in the mother room at the moment, keepers i think........for now

Beauty!
Do ya ever slow down? Even with the ruck it gets too hot?
I never considered that island getting that hot. Learn something new every day.

Are those your flowering pots? They look like my 2-gallon ones.
Tall and narrower across the top?

I kind of look forward in a wierd kinda of way to shutting down the flower room, it gives me a chance to relax, go on holiday and to do those jobs that its impossible to do when the room is full of budding plants. It gets far too hot in the months of July and August to grow even with the Ruck at full blast ambient temp outside the room can reach 120F, the pitfalls of loft growing im afraid. Hot in summer and cold in winter.
I still manage to get 4-5 harvests per year.
It gives me two months to rebuild the room, this time im gonna insulate the room to stabilise the temps more during the colder months, hang the doors better (hard to do), re-paint white, get a new light and a bigger ruck fan and some accoustic ducting, replace the oscillating fans, clean the old Ruck fan, basically i'll probby rip down the room and build again, i need to incorporate the heaters and de-humidifiers in such away that thay take up less floor space.

The pots that you see are slightly smaller than my regular flowering ones, im not sure of the capacity but yes they are tall and narrow, i got them free from the local supermarket, they use them too put there cut flowers in, i usually use the Lilly ones for flowering as they are taller, drill some holes and voila...ideal.....
Im using slightly smaller ones this run so i can fit the Apollo 11 starts in when the time comes....
Its a busy time of year in Phats garden, im on a deadline and things have got to get done.......that Appollo 11 better be ready in 45-50 days.
Ive got to get the outdoor shit ready too.......its all fun tho, theres not much else id rather do...

Grow On

[SIZE=3]The Basic Recipe[/SIZE

1 bail of ProMix
2 bags of sheep compost
2 bags of black earth
1 bag of shrimp compost
3 cups of bone meal
3 cups of blood meal
1 cup of lime

With a handful of white rock. (Dolomite, there's a mine in the area)
I use a good store bought soil, John Innes #3 for flowering, all i add is a load of perlite, some lime and some hydroclay balls for drainage at the bottom of the pot and an inch layer on the top to keep the fungas gnats from laying their eggs in my soil and to keep the moisture in.
Works for me

I wish they would get rid of this silly thing us Brits do twice a year.
Last night our clocks went foward an hour, so we lose an hours sleep, not only do you spend the next day very confused and unsure what the proper time is due to forgetting to change all your clocks....
and at the end of the summer we turn our clocks back an hour thus gaining an hours sleep...all very stupid and silly if you ask me...
and to top it all my latest grow went 12/12 last week so instead of the lights now coming on at 8 pm they are coming on at 9 pm.....its a pain in the ass........
Phat makes note to himself to consider that in the future
i know i could gradually getting it back to 8pm........but like i said.........FFS.

Grow On

I think Saskatchewan is the only place that don't change in Canada.
Stupid fricking idea to change the time.

I think the time change was originally so farmers could have more daylight to work as the day lenghts changed...ironic huh?

i agree... i don't bother changing the clocks... i just live with all of them being an hour off for 6 months..... why change them when i am just going to have to change back later? seems like a waste to me

Being from farming stock, the clock never made a difference.

Who cares? Come harvest it's dawn till dusk. Parts are for the women to get when they have time

Unhappy

The right and upper of your plants reminds me of my best(out of 3 others)
which sadlly died(dried out) 5 days ago.Such a fuckin pitty.I expected from it at least 40 grams.I made a fuckin newbie mistake going on a 10 days vacation in another town, gave the keys of my appartment to a friend and when I was back I saw my best white widow almost dead.Didnt had the chance to save it .When I pulled it out the bottom soil was dry.Just hoping to get a good yield from the other 3 ones(2 ww 1 bubblelicious).
KNOCK ON WOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Phat pharmer I had the same question but I dont think it is a problem.
I would never consider to change the timer or so(I am also from Europe and time changed for me too.)
I have an indoor garden and dont believe the plants know time changed.I am
going to harvest in 3-4 weeks as I believe but you have more time.Maybe heat might be a problem but you will do your things and share some pics
in 2 months from now as u always do.
Good luck and share your wisdom with us newbies.
KEEP GROWING YOUR OWN GRASS!!!

I hate the stupid time change here in the US too...from what I understand it started here in WWII to conserve electricity....now I think the govt wants to leave it that way, cause that means more productive daylight hours, which means more tax money
Oh nice green, bushy looking plants Phat...wanna loan me one?
I'll return it...promise
