Log in problems

So for the past forever I have been having problems logging in. I log in successfully, but then it takes me to the forum menu and shows the sign in boxes as empty and that I'm not logged in. As soon as I link to a sub forum it shows me as logged in.

It's not a critical issue, but it's annoying as hell because I like to check my messages (not that I ever have any) before I get distracted elsewhere.

Also YaHooka has been sporadically running really slow, and even times out. Does this have anything to do with the recent down time and lost threads?

Nope. It doesn't have anything to do with the lost threads or recent downtime.

Yes, it's being slow and not loading at times and being a pain in the ass. The only reason I've been told for the slowdown is system updates and the slowdowns typically happen during the weekends.

But it was down most of yesterday and this morning.

I don't know if you're really qualified to say that.

the fact that sessions aren't functioning/being kept track of properly suggests problems with the DB. I have the same issue with logging in (and have for about the last year).

That in conjunction with all the forum phuxups (threads being out of sync) suggests that either the database is not being maintained or that it's become "corrupted" because of far too many entries.

same thing happens to me every now and again on the comp at home, maybe something to do with cookies? clicking the yahooka logo up top or any forum/thread always shows me logged in proper, see if that will clear it up.
