In the world of repairs one usually starts @ the last point of tangency, not the beginning.

However, in some instances were data is crutial , the worthwhile thing might be to go back to the more inclusive/cohesive format, and uniformly upgrade and incorporate stated improvements/changes chronologically.

just a thought.
not even sure it would work.

but what a challenge.

so all the posts/attachments from day 1 are still saved somewhere?
probably not all.

deleted threads, posts, and accounts were probably overwritten.

/\/\/\/\ That was what Ed McMahon used to say to Johnny Carson, when Carson was playing his 'Karnak The Great' sketch. Remember how he'd say the answers 1st & would then read the questions?
I realize I'm REALLY showing my antiquity with that, but Ed would tell Johnny that was where the 'answers' were kept sealed-off from everyone.
