login troubles

hope this isnt a repeat post...

I havent been around here for a while, but since I've returned...Ive had some problems logging in from the home page....when i log in it brings me to the thankyou redirect page...but then when i am redirected I am no longer signed in. I have found that the only way around it on my end is to log in from a logn in at the top of an existing thread....any reason for that?

Clear your cookies? This used to happen to me all the time. If you don't look signed in just click user CP and see what happens. That used to show me as signed in after clicking to that page when I "wasn't" previously on the main page.

The login page redirects you to your cached page view, I bet if you hit refresh you will appear logged in.

No1, I figured the same thing right after making this thread....
But no luck. I've cleared my history, cache, stored form info, and restarted-no luck....I don't think that it's a problem on my end.

I remember the same thing would happen once in a while when I would use library computers to make posts........a while ago. I always just figured it was some sort of firewall or something on the public computer. Oh yea, I also tried to turn off my firewalls and access hooka, with no luck.

No big deal, just kind of a hassle.

Yeah I get the same thing, and it's not a cache issue cause I clear mine at least 5 times a day.
I'll sign in, get the thank you redirect and be brought back to the main page not signed in. But as soon as I choose a link and the page loads I'll be signed in.
It's not a problem, just odd.

So what if you click the link before the page redirects you, you know where it says if it doesn't do it automatically?

someone mentionned before how instead of
yahooka.com/forum

www.yahooka.com/forum
works better and keeps them signed in, just the www. part

i dont know why and may be completely wrong.

Is your browser set to accept yahookan cookies? add them to any exception list you might have goin' on and see if that does it.

I got this too, I just never bitched about it

I click remember me and i come to the site and i wont be logged in...i'll click "today's posts" and it'll log me ina nd show me the new posts

i dno't have to log in, just click a link...

its not a big deal..just odd

oh and btw, if i'm not logged in and i have to log in...itll show me the redirect and if i let it time out or click the link it takes me back to the home page not lgoged in but when i click today's posts..it logs me in...

i couldn't figure out why either but at least i got logegd in when i got to the page i wanted to be on

edit: i'm using firefox

couldnt log in at all yesterday

took me about 20 minutes to log in today----seems to be getting worse.
