DdC's threads are like reference encyclopedias, helpful but you can't take them out of the library and write your own notes in the margins.

It's usually in there somewhere, but needs to be more yahooka related in general and as should always be the case ...

open for debate/discussion, to some extent.

it's one of those things people come to rely on, that builds boards.

a bit aggressive perhaps for yahooka, which is not much on the legalization/activism bandwagon these days, but still very much needs to be informed.

And for that kudos go out , for there is no one here who does it better.

I have to say 'we have a blog function' if people want to lock up their threads so regularly.... and we have taken that 'right' away in the past for sure.....

He seems to feel he was being trolled there however... so...

I'm looking into other posts of his to see if Mr. Hupley IS in fact Ddc fan clubbing, in a 'put the lotion on the basket' kinda way.

Hey, just wanted to check in with my side of this sordid tale. We had dusted up a couple of times over that week, but I wasn't actively seeking him out for attack.

My thing was that I responded in a mostly appropriate way and his response was quoting some anti trolling law and to lock the thread. I had no idea who could close threads. I figured a mod had to, and for him to report something as innocuous as that...well, it just seemed a chickenshit move. I've been on the net for 20 years...I should be used to this kind of stuff.

I over- reacted and I'm sorry to anyone I may have pissed off.

Green namers have more controls over their posts. That is to delete/lock them as well as some other things along those lines.....

That's what I meant. I didn't know what the closing thread policy was, and
I assumed it had to be done by a mod. From that assumption I assumed he tattled. Which, had that been the case, would've been chickenshit. But it wasn't the case, and my assumptions all down the line were wrong. My bad for assuming. But it was why I asked in the first place.

I'll stick with it being a bit cowardly to close a thread the minute someone disagrees with you, but such is life. I think I've figured out his schtick, and will give his postings the credibility they deserve.

Once again, sorry for ruffling anyone's feathers. It wasn't my intention at all. Is there a noob apology song I should sing?
