no new posts when there is

as the title says the past few days when i click the new posts button it's saying there has been no new posts in the past 24 hours when there has.

Odd man... maybe you have a cookies issue?

Are you checking that as soon as you sign in?

Sometimes I get that message after I've checked the boards or if I check after logging in and then surfing around for a few before I check it.

If ought to give you a 'see posts in the last 24 hours' or something linked like that, that will bring up all the recent posts....

I do get the see posts in the last 24 hours but usually it just automaticly comes up with new posts, am i the only one havin this problem? its only been happened the past couple of weeks and no settings have been changed on my comp that i know of

It does it to me sometimes but usually they update.

IDK man.... to me it sounds like I'd be double checking my "posts per page"

Go to "Your Control Panel" (User CP)
On the side bar look under "Settings and options"
Click "Edit Options"
Scroll down the page until you see the heading "Threads and Display Options"
Listed below you'll find "Default Thread Age Cut Off"
Select "Show All Threads"
Make sure you click "Save changes" at the bottom....

And see if it takes care of the '50 posts' problem.

Sounds like something odd is happening for you.
Have you recently done any changes to the computer?

Ok thanks that seems to have sorted it, somehow the settings changed to show only threads from the past 2 weeks, dunno how since I hadn't change any settings.

Sometimes, I encounter the same problem. I saw in this site that there are no new posts which is quite impossible because there are lots of members. But on the contrary, I would just try to think that the site might be updating that's why it gives the results that way. Let's just have patience and eventually updating will be over soon.

would be nice if it remembered posts that haven't been read by members, as in...

if I haven't read it, and it was posted last monday, it's still a new post to me...regardless of how many other posts I've read/replied to.

I'm on a forum where this is an option.... or should say.. it's NOT an option...
You subscribe and whether you care anymore or not... if it gets bumped and you don't look at it... it stays on your list... and sometimes that is old as well...

But I read ya'.....

Now sure what version of Vbulletin we're using...

seems to be okay now think it was something to do with the privacy software thing i had installed removing all history and cookies automaticly.
