Hubble's Law states that the redshift of light emmited from distant cellestial object is proportional to that object's distance from the point of observation.

So sorry for hijacking your thread! I didn't know an innocent allusion to my personal cosmology could cause such a mess.
I thought about 2012 over my lunch (fish and chips, yum), and decided I believe that it will, in some way or another, serve as a transitional phase into the next stage. Some paradigm shift will occur, the effects of which can be scarcely imagined. Needless to say, we should be pumped to exist at so exciting a time.
