There was a thread where I witnessed many americans come on and say how lacking their geography education was, thats what I'm going by. I know for sure. And I mean, obviously, even if the institution is lacking doesn't mean people know geography beyond ones own borders, but its a good reason to believe the average citizen doesn't.
I suppose that might of been a bit much of an example for me to try because I dont actually KNOW what the situation is like but I mean, I saw plenty of testimonies on here about how folks from various states only got a half hour once a week in grade 5 for example.

I'll be honest after making these ^^ posts I feel rather extreme. Especially since I am too lazy to find credible sources to back up my claims and I said all these things off the top of my head from knowledge I have accumulated from the media, people and the internet and from social and political courses at university. It needs to be said though, in one form or another and I chose to fulfill that destiny today.
