I know a few guys from my highschool class that thought like you, one was in ROTC. This was before Iraq/afgan wars mind you. He was killed in a 'training exercise' in Germany.
He is now in the ground.
The other one is an alcoholic in jail for killing someone driving drunk. Both sounded exactly liek you before they joined up. So, don't be dissing others and acting all superior just yet.
