Hello All....
I have been researching medical marijuana approval in Canada, and feel that I have the history to prove that I am a perfect fit for approval under the following part of this document entitled "Information for Health Care Professionals (revised)".

Cannabis has been advocated as a treatment for anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and alcohol and opiate withdrawal symptoms (Iverson, 2000, p 172).

Well I have a lot of Dr./Work documented proof of anxiety, deppression and sleep dissorders.

My problem is this, I don't expect my Dr. (I have only here 5 months, barely know him) to be sympathetic to someone wanting to self medicate with marijuana. I haven't smoked much at all in the past 6 months, but over the past 2 weeks I have blazed a bit in the morning, a bit after lunch, and a bit in the evening, and I have had a fantastic 2 weeks as far as productivity, anxiety, depression...getting a good amount of sleep (no lying in bed for 2 hours every night). I have been a much happier family member..

It really did wonders for me....
But, I set up an appointment today, and the secretary laughed at me over the phone, and told my I was wasting my time. WTF is that anyway?
SO, I am about to go search the boards here for med mj posts, but thought I would start this thread first, and maybe document my attempt(s) at getting approved for tha goooodz !!!

Anyone have any comments, ideas, suggestions?

If I get shot down with this Dr., I will try to find where a lot of the local med marijuana is sold and ask around there for a suggested Dr..

PS, this current Dr. thinks my past anxiety and depression have been because I am bipolar, so a few weeks ago after getting a phychiatrist to evaluate me, I started taking bipolar meds, and I know it takes a while to get into the right med/dosage, but the pills really alter who I am, and fuck with me, so I will be updating him on this as well. I also plan on having all the appropriate paperwork printed out and ready for a signature.
I will update as things happen....
