plant starting methods

hey all, its been a while since my last post.... i like to lay low in the off season, but spring is getting ready to rear its beautiful head, and im pretty excited about the upcoming grow season.

ive got a bunch of apollo 11 seeds, and some that i have crossed with local produce as well.

my question is this: im looking to start off as many small plants as possible to be transplanted outside for the grow... im thinking probaly in the 50 range. and i would like to get em probaly around 6 inches a piece (3 or 4 sets of leaves) before i put em outside... this will be a lil closet grow with some cfl lights... im basically just looking for some experienced advice on what size containers would be efficient ( not take up too much space, but still have room for proper root development)... shit like that... anyone who has some good ideas to throw at me, it would be much appreciated... thanks.
