Was her hint more toward general silence or lack of talk specifically? Maybe you should work her so good that she doesn't have a chance to even consider your silence.
As far as ordering her around, get her into it enough and she'll be down for anything you say. Change up the positions a bit. The main thing is to be confident, which isn't a quality your post implies. If you're confident the woman will catch on. Trust me.
