Here's a little trick. Count backwards 12 hours from the time it's almost dark (say 9:30pm).At that time (9:30am) put your plants out in the morning.As it gets dark you hit your 12/13 hour mark and you don't have to cover it and you don't have to get up in the morning to uncover it. 12 hours after sunrise of the second day you put away in the dark til 9:30 the next morning and start again.That way you only have to deal with the plant every second day.
