it's illegal because it dissolves boundaries and catalyzes the imagination. the government goes to a lot of trouble to control what you think..

let's not forget about the harrison narcotics act of 1937

it's an issue of prohibition tied into black market smuggling and social stigma

the clinical experiments with cannabis really only found as a negative side effect that it may slow down your perspective of time. the brain isnt harmed unless you're smoking some dank indian hash which then might make you go crazy.
