I took my test today using my method of heating it for an hour with a heater and keeping it crotched. After 1 hr., removing the heater keep it crotched. I left at 40 min., checked the temp. (didnt use digital thermometer this time, didn't want to open the vial), temp. strip started reading the temp. and was within the correct range.
Got to the test center in about 25 min., had to wait for probably another 10 min. Got to the bathroom, temp. was in the correct range according to the temp. strip, put specimen in vial. Took a piss in the toilet (I made sure to drink fluids, wanted to make sure they know I pissed). The test administrator checked off the temp. was in the correct range!
I was so worried I didnt know which method to use, testclear advised to not remove the heater until it was time to test (I tried to consult with them before I went) but, out of the 6-7 times I tried the test it got too hot with the heater so I wasn't sure what to do. He kept saying he doesnt know why it's getting too hot.
Only thing was that it wasn't very comfortable holding this thing crotched for 2 hrs., and since I drank fluids to make sure I was going to piss I had to piss really bad and had to hold it for a while. If I pass this test, this is the only method I'm going to use from here on out for pre-employment tests. If I know I'm going to fail without it. I've also passed tests with dilution but, those would be more stressful if you don't know for sure you're going to pass. Now that I got the temp. right this time I should have no problem in doing this every time. If for any reason the temp. is not in the correct range when I get to the test center I can always say I can't piss and the synthetic urine is good for 72 hrs., so I could just come back after reheating it.
