Hey All,
I'm relatively new to Yahooka, but not new to the the lifestyle. I am trying to find people who live in New York State who want to help get the current Medical Marijuana law, which was passed by the Assembly last summer, but sits collecting cobwebs on the State Senate floor. All of us New Yorker's need to contact our state senators and remind them that this is an election year and they need to reshape the bill so it is more inclusive and vote the damn thing into law. Over 85 % of New York State residents support Medical Marijuana (a large majority supports outright legalization) and we need to have our voices heard. It's something that will take just a few minutes of your time and could be the difference in bringing New York State into the new millenium and in line with the other 12 States that have effective Medical Marijuana Laws. If you visit
MPP Homepage you will find links to your local Senate reps with their phone numbers and email addresses. There are even pre-written letters you can email or print out, like I said it doesn't take much time. There are other sites where you can do the same, but
MPP Homepage is the one I am familiar with. MPP is fighting for us here in New York, we just need to let our Senate Reps know what we expect from them, and that is a more inclusive and effective Medical Marijuana bill and we need them to finally take action and bring New York out of the stone ages, from Medical Marijuana to legalization. The time is now. Over 866,000 people are imprisoned on marijuana charges in this country, and the number keeps ticking upwards, that is an insane number and we all need to make change happen. Everyone keeps talking about change this year, well here is one subject that we all care about and we can all join together and make a difference. Find your local State Senator and let them know how you feel. We can make it happen.
Thanks for taking the time to listen and thanks in advance for taking action.

PS: I am not part of MPP in any way, just a supporter and a New Yorker who is sick and tired of the same old song and dance from these politicians. This is a year of change, not only at the Presidential level, but on all levels and all issues. Thanks again for your time and feel free to ask anyu questions.
