As for the xanax; you won't be tested on that-hair test conducted by pshymedics corp are 5 panel (most employers are too cheap to have the 10 panel test done as it is nearly triple the cost). Don't worry about the xanax. As for the Vic's-this is somthing that I can relate to as opitates, white, and other types of speed (Ritalin, Adderal, etc) was the issue at stake wtih me and should be the things you should concern yourself with as well: the white and any other speed related drugs (i.e. ritilan, adderol or any amphedimines) and also the vicodin. This was exactly my issue the 1st time I had to take the hair test.
Since you are a woman, it is safe to assume that you have minimal body hair? If not trim in specific hair growing parts of your anatomy get a clippers and trim down to at least 1/8 inch min.
I don't think that the hair coloring/dying was the main and most important step; but the way I looked at it was that it couldn't make it any worse. The fact you have shorter hair is a plus; your metabolism will not be a factor if you follow my method b/c you will be stripping all drug related metabolites from your hair folicles from both the hydrogen peroxide, bleach, and aloe shampoo (I used V05 w/ Aloe) as well as the detox shampoo (if you choose to purchase any); but as you can see from Darkangel's posts-he used a basic shampoo and dumped/mixed a crap load of Aloe extract in it, then mixed hydrogen peroxide and bleach to his aloe shampoo to wash his hair prior to taking the test (I'd do this a few hours before leaving to take test). Since you have longer hair I would double up on the shampoo mixture as my friend did (explained in update on my 2nd post on this thread) in which he sub'd tablespoons in for teaspoons and used a cup vs. 1/2 cup of shampoo w/ aloe and do this 4 cycles vs 3 cycles (20 mins total time in hair; 4 x 5 = 20 mins vs. my recommendaton of 15 mins 3 x 5=15 mins; for shorter haired persons <2 inches). My best advice for this step is to find some pure Aloe Extract (pure aloe with no other substances in it or minimal ingredients in the aloe as aloe is the substance that is needed (the more pure the aloe is the better). So look on the back of the Aloe product you purchase and make sure that the Aloe is listed in the first several substances pertaining to the ingredient listing.
It is your choice on purchasing a detox shampoo, if you cannot afford it then so be it....(I used the Zydot both times when tested) and I used it right after shampooing with the mixed blend; that is not to say that is the reason I passed-I truly believe that it was the bleach, hydrogen peroxide, aloe shampoo mixture and conditioner left in hair that helped me get the negative result, however I cannot be positive which is why I listed everything I did prior to the test b/c at the very least one of the treatments used in my method worked so I listed everything I did in perpartation for the hair test.
My advice is to saturate your hair with conditioner (the more the better) as explained in the last step and DO NOT wash it out; let it air dry. If all else fails the conditioner will corrupt the test thus making it negative in all panels-they won't know that the hair is corrupted via the conditioner; it will just come back negative.
As a reference to go by, when I 1st took my intial hair test I had done enough white and amphedinines (as well as opiates) for a party of 5 or enough to kill a horse just weeks prior to testing. I did exactly what I posted and came out negative. It took them over 10 days to get me back the results which according to the place where tested was unusual (usually takes 3-4 days); so I would say that if you don't hear back w/in 3-4 days, take it as no news is good news. The longer it takes them to get your results back the better in my opinion as this happened for both tests (one test took 10 days the other took almost 2 weeks).
