Judgement has become a really dirty word. I think judgement is deciding whether or not you find something favorable about someone/something rather than observing their negative attributes. I've judged people in both positive and negative ways. Judgement is our biological tool for survival. We judge in order to assess how much love to lavish (or not) onto someone.
Most people, when judging another, forget to ask themselves (in the midst of the negative) whether or not they like anything about the person they're observing. We've been raised to believe the world is a bad place so it's natural that the majority is quick to pass negative judgements. I think as long as you remind yourself to assess what you like about someone, you will always find a balance between the "good" and the "bad".
