I have a friend who`s been running his mercedes truck on veg oil for five years with no ill effects (20,000 miles+). I know it`s true, when you follow him it smells like a barbecue. Sometimes he has problems if it`s too cold and he hasn`t thinned the mix enough. Other people I know have run a variety of bangers for a good while on veg oil- the cars have passed away for different reasons (usually MOT failures), like I say you don`t want to experiment on a brand new turbodiesel worth £20,000+. Obviously the petrochemical industry has a vested interest in keeping us in the dark about this- it`s up to us to find out the facts. There is no reason the right motor can`t run for it`s natural milage on veg oil.
