They could, however, afford to give us gas that is a mix of ethanol and petrol, like say they have been doing for quite some time now
they would just bump the amount of ethanol in it...

But if you drive 20 miles to work each day, and it takes 18 of them to warm up the tank of oil, then is it worth the 2 miles you are going to be running on oil to pay for the kit and install
I'm all for you doing this by the way, I think it's cool. I would be hungry smelling those burritos all the time though
