my great-grandfather worked for Lockheed on the Skunkworks Project. my dad asked him if it was possible to 'beam up' like on Star Trek. All he could say was it was classified information, but the things we were capable of would blow his mind. that was over 30 years ago...imagine what we can do now.
edit: as a fun fact, my great-grandfather was the one to discover an obscure mathematical equation (by a then-obscure scientist from Russia, i think) that made the SR-71 non-detectable by radar. he served as mentor to the lead on the project, and was taken out of retirement to work on it.  |
ya I also think we have some crazy technology that the government hides. Ever hear of the "Philadelphia Experiment"? I don't know if I really believe it but its interesting.. heres a good video from the history channel
