oh yeah there are many people who have been evacuated from their homes into makeshift redcross shelters, towns full of them. it isn't just iowa either, as most of southwestern&central wisconsin is flooded, all major roads and highways completely underwater & closed for who knows how long. the mississippi is impassible, over a dozen locks flooded out of commission.

the impact to the midwest corn & soybean harvests this year will be massive.
