^^ true. i agree, money has nothing to do w/ it. i know a homeless guy that owns a dog, and he always gets the dog something to eat before he eats himself, not to mention he spends more time w/ the dog than many other people spend w/ thier animals.

however, i think since you are disabled, a dog (especially a shepherd, since they are so smart and easily trained) could do A LOT of good for you. If you have trouble doing certain chores, or even daily routines, a dog could be a good help. Also for the security factor.

P.S. a sweet little trick i taught my shepherd is to open the fridge and get me a beer, as long as they have beer jerseys on them, so he can hold them comfortably in his mouth. again... could be a big help.
