I know the ignorance in making ones own vaporizer, though I don't see why this would be any different from any other vaporizer except for ease of use, regulation standards, and lack of warranty. But if this works it would be worth the 30-40 dollars it would cost.
The idea is there is a pyrex funnel inside of a tube. In which either nichrome heating coils(heating element from a toaster) are run around the funnel, or a water heating system (from coffeemaker). Not touching the glass but still spreading out the heat. Then the "bowl" for your herbs is a test-tube resting between the pyrex funnel.
The thing on the bottom left corner is a digital candy thermometer so you can monitor the heat going in(not alter the heat nor would this be nearly accurate but helpful).
Then ontop of the bowl/test tube a whip is placed so no vapors escape.
Now I am not posting this for other people to try, or whatever. I am going to pursue this idea on my own at my own risk, and document it here. As soon as I can find a camera, and some more materials. Anyone have any input?
For anyone who attempts any of the ideas in this thread are doing them at their own risk, this idea/concept is not considered safe or unsafe. It is experimental.
