i cant see that plant recovering
it will definately suffer
i'd spread some honey over the infected areas
carefully
but you'll need to get lucky

i'll tell you why you dont need to trim leaves
the plant is developing roots, stems, and leaves
it needs stuff in the soil, water, and light
light is absorbed thru all leaves, not just green ones
more light = more growth......pretty simple
a yellowing leaf is still aiding the plant until it starts to be more dead than alive
i think people should let the plant do the work
