In many cases Oxycontin is stronger than street heroin, unless you're buying near pure heroin. The worst thing is mainlining methadone. It's basically a 50/50 chance of dropping dead.

And no just because you didnt try heroin doesnt mean your addiction was any less intense. A guy I knew went from being a well known member of the mormon church to being a homeless Ketamine addict...And ketamines not even physically addictive! Some of the biggest addicts I've seen were addicts of prescription meds. Often ones they ACTUALLY had prescriptions to.

And yeah...with opiates it's not a question of "will" you get addicted...it's "when" you get addicted.
