Perfect Circle In Sky!
omg,
I was walking outside to go and smoke and I look up at the sky. And there is this GIGANTIC perfect ring around the moon. It looked soooo amazing! I grabbed my camera but due to shitty location and bad lighting they don't do it any justice. I looked on the news to see anything about it, but nothing yet. Anyone know what it might be? It was a huge perfect circle and I mean PERFECT that was around the moon with the moon as the center.

"The ring around the Moon is caused by the refraction of Moonlight (which of course is reflected sunlight) from ice crystals in the upper atmosphere. The shape of the ice crystals results in a focusing of the light into a ring. Since the ice crystals typically have the same shape, namely a hexagonal shape, the Moon ring is almost always the same size."

Yeah, it's really beautiful. Where I'm from, there's no lights at night, so you can see the Northern Lightsare so bright and you can see them so clearly.

They're sort of like fading, waving sheets of light. Sometimes they're bluish, or red/pink.

We had the Northern Lights one night that I can remember, it was greenish, and completely blew me away with how it looked... unfortunately I was unable to enhance the experience further because I was out of weed.

Art Studio
Studio art is made of art and studio, and the term has several implications depending on the context used.
Courses designed to build skills and knowledge in art and design; either to gain entry to art college or university, or to develop creativity.

You get to see them about once a year here in Minnesota, it's quite neat.

old thread but i'll contribute anyway
for anyone who is a fan of atmospheric optics (ie: moon/sun halos, parhelic arcs, rainbows, etc) or nerdy stuff like aurora borealis (if you are in fact far enough north to observe them), check this website out:
SpaceWeather.com -- News and information about meteor showers, solar flares, auroras, and near-Earth asteroids

here is a random sun halo i got a picture of. the picture kind of sucks but it wasn't with my fancy new camera
