Stoner Paintings by The Val
Decided to post some of my paintings here. I have more but my old camera broke so I'm unable to take pictures of them. Be sure you're nice and stoned when you look at these bongsmilie

My thoughts: I like your work and I think you can push it a lot farther. I think where you're at is pretty cool though
In My Hands Lives the City Devil is by far my favorite out of the bunch. Just raw emotion but there's still a composition and the balance and colors work for me. Mother Universe is by far my least favorite. I kind of like the idea but it looks cheasy to me. I think it's mostly the outline of the woman, I just wish it had more accurate proportions. I don't like the different eye colors either. I like most of the other ones, though. A lot of it's personal taste... I like the flat ones with solid colors more than the busy ones where the colors are more chaotic. These are all pretty neat though.

Those are absolutely beautiful, you should borrow a camera so you can post some more!! Have you ever considered selling them? I could see them bringing in quite a bit of cash.

These are my favorites; you have that great simplistic style to your work I like it though, very good.
How often do you paint?

Thanks for the complimentos. Funny Burning Concrete got mentioned cuz I had a couple friends of mine suggest I try selling it. Honestly, I'm pretty attached to these paintings cuz every one tells some story of mine. Maybe I'll use some as CD covers when I put my music out. Besides, I don't think they're very marketable. The only other time I've seen someone draw like this was this young painter whose work was in a Native American museum. Coincidentally, he's 2 days younger than me and he also abandoned conventional artistic skill to paint like a moron
![]() That's not very nice. I posted these paintings here for people to just look at and mellow out to, not to ask if you think they're good or not. The reality is that I took art class for 2 years and was one of the top students (unfortunately I got kicked out after assaulting someone with a clay vase for sassy talkin' me). Drawing my "best" upchucks old feelings of how Ia hated art school. My actual artistic skill far exceeds these paintings so I don't need to hear about proportion or how I need to quit...I know all about that shit . Fuck it all. I just enjoy going nuts on a canvas after smoking a fat . Is that so wrong?![]()

Burning Concrete
The lack of a price indicates you have reluctance to part with the original. What are the chances of getting .jpeg of it (in detail) so I can order me a print?

shut up dousche.
those are pretty good porc. what type of paint you use. i seriously have to get back into art, i just havent the time or the inspiration. i used to be pretty manic-depressive which was probably part of it, so i guess i cant complain about my current lack of creativity...

Thanks
I used acrylics...I'd love to stack up on oil paints but it's not in my budget at the moment. Lack of creativity isn't really an issue...it's moreso that you probably haven't given art much attention in your mind. It happens to everyone for one reason or another. I was actually reading a book on opening up your creativity (I'll get back to you with the title/author if you like) and it mentions how it's not something that requires pre-meditation. Sometimes sitting down with a blank canvas and some tools is all it takes to put yourself into focus ![]() Do you have any pics of your work?
