Nice! You recognized the carillon! Yes, it's the james in Richmond. Pony Pastures Park.

It's still so warm here that lots of things are still full of vegetation and life. Very pretty.

And nice catch, shaggy.

It is a rock out in the middle of the river that someone must have just dropped their seeds on and it's sprouting a little pot plant.

Yeah! and the water is so low right now that you can go all the way across the river. And as you can see from the pics, it's not a little river... Most of the time the water is a little higher, and if you don't mind wading just a little, you can make it about half way across before you'd have to swim.

I took my journal and my book and sat on the rocks out in the middle and wrote some poetry and read a little.

me and my wife went to college at U of R, and then I worked for awhile TheatreVirginia and the richmond ballet, the barksdale, etc. Her family still lives there, so we make it down quite often.

And yes, ellis, we've had a very warm fall here in va, most trees are still green and have all their leaves.

I have two children and I take them to see the outdoor productions @ the Carillon often. Richmond has some great opportunities to introduce children to the theater.

I walked those trails that day all the way to the golf course @ the U of R campus.
