japanese lamp

japaneezy lampeezy up in this skeezy.

i cut all the joint and whatnot with a dovetail saw and chisel.

it was fun, but the final putting together was a real pain in the ass because there were so many things that had to be put together simulteously with glue.
putting in the paper was a real freaking pain in the ass too, due to poor planning and my short attention span.

i made up all the dimensions and cuts as i went along too. which was interesting and fun.

spray paint black with a lil gloss

what're using for your light? candle i'd assume..

^ lol no, it has a compact florescent light bulb since they dont get as hot and less chance of lighting up the paper and they save electricity. i basically just took the hardware from other cheap lamp and stuck it in no problem i

i cant see a pic either, if you could post a link thatd be great, im curious if these are anything like the ones i made from ricepaper when i was younger, sounds like a way more complicated version though.
