i once made an entire sculpture out of melting wax. it started out as an accident when one of my candles was tipped the wrong way, causing all of the wax to pour down in random directions and hardening in place, making a water-fall type effect. i thought about it and figured it would be a cool idea and worked on it for hours. now, whenever i'm playing with wax while being blazed i always end up creating something neat. nothing to brag about or keep forever but def. fun to work with. i also draw, and creat clothing, all of which turn out much more creatively after indulging in such acts.
. the hemp idea is awesome, and i enjoyed all of your jewelry. i'm a huge fan of hemp jewelry, hemp oils, body moisterizers [sp], etc. yayhemp.

I've made a ton of stuff recently, because I finally opened up an online store. Here are just a few photos:

Just skimmed through this thread and now I'm gonna have insomnia from all the idears.
I don't make much jewelry anymore, though now and then it's fun to get back into it. Here is a necklace I made for my mom's retirement gift (that would suck if she was reading this...for more reasons than one...) and an anklet. norm |

I really like those, extranormal! I love natural looking jewelry, especially for ankle bracelets. You're a dude arent you?? I find men to be really good jewelry makers because of how mechanically minded some of them are. My man does great hemp jewelry, and his knots are way tighter than mine because it hurts my delicate little fingers to pull on the rope too hard.

. Yeah I really got into setting up long strings of repeating patterns when I was making necklaces. I would put a string of ten or so beads, add a center bead, and then reverse the pattern, then maybe do it again, copying the whole thing. I found that if an entire necklace had one whole repeating pattern--one half mirroring the other half--but wasn't held at one of the center points (where it was tied off or opposite of there) it was hard to tell there was a pattern. And with fishing line I could easily hide the knot so you could wear the necklace showing the symmetry or hiding it. Sorry I don't have any pics of necklaces from those times, and it may be hard to visualize from how I described it! These were 30" necklaces, fully tied no clasps like the one in the pic. Anyway, cool thread, cool artwork. |

Lovin' the jewelry Holly. The candies and cupcakes remind me of Candyland, I used to love that game
