I wish I was crafty with wood stuff.... you girls rock . Loopie, you still makin' soaps? I planted some soapwort this year (suppose to be a good natural soap) and I want to try to make some soap this year (besides just melt and pour stuff )... anyway... here are a couple more wreaths that I formed last season and decorated in the last couple of days with stuff left over from last season. One of them is much less than symetrical...hehe... may have to think of a way to hide that.

Those wreaths are all so awesome! You girls are doing great, I'd just loooove to stick my nose up to them and take a big whiff!!
Anyway, here's an update of what I've been up to.. These pics are of some salt and pepper shakers I coved with fimo using a millefiori technique and a gloss coat. The second one is of some jeans I bought 2 sizes too small and added patchwork panels down the sides..

And here are some mushroom garden stakes I made using fimo and floral wire. They look so cute in potted plants, plus I'm a mushroom fanatic.

Oh yeah baby, I do it all!
Your skirts sound so cute! I just started sewing about 3 months ago, and I can't sew as fast as the ideas are coming. I wish we lived in the same town, we could have little sewing parties. I don't know what a sewing party is really, I just made that up. Maybe we'd like, get really stoned and just start makin shit like crazy. I'm pretty high right now though, so forgive me if that sounds lame. Seriously though, you are one of the people I'd want to meet most off of here. I can just relate to so much you say, you have got to be one of the coolest people I've ever kind-of met..
Edit: If you look in the pic of the pants I did, the second patch from the top is a mushroom print. It's so cute, and I found tons of it on eBay for cheap. Do you ever buy fabric online?

Herbs, do you mean the kind that sit kinda low on the hips and fit kinda tight around the thighs, but then have a slight flare? That's my favorite kind of fit w/ pants, cuz it looks good with sneaks, sandals, boots, etc.. I might be able to help you...

Thanks! This is the only thread I've ever started in my short time on Yahooka. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy that you like it..

I love this thread too!
Animal, you are soo talented! It impresses me
I would pay like 50 bucks for that bag you made... its soo awesome! I might try to make one myself... but then again I suck at sewing lol.
And I forgot who made the painted box but it was soo nice! and its weird because lately I've been thinking of starting up a project like that! I want to buy a chest for the end of my bed and paint on it like that!
I'm a really artsy person as well.. but usually I just paint/draw. I like this thread because it's inspired me to get more in touch with my crafy side! So thnx animal
Lets keep crafting and keep this thread alive!

yeah, that's on my list too... I have billions of ideas around the house for curtains and covers for tables/ dressers, etc (simple stuff... no clothes...hehe) ... but I have my grandma's old sewing machine which is cool to have but doesn't work ... time to buy a new one. I want to make me an apron for the garden out of old cover alls so it's durable... I need something to carry my clippers and a note-pad and pen and such while I'm out there.

Aphro, some of the stuff you've said has pissed me off in the past, but I'm sure I've pissed you off as well. As long as you're being cool to me, I'll be cool back. I asked you to post some of your art in here a long time ago, so go for it! You should try painting your own little wooden trinket boxes, my mom does it all the time and she's not even an artist.
MissD, your zombie chicks are sooo hott! Have you ever seen any of Coop's artwork? He did some awesome devil girls for the cover of the Lords of Acid album Voodoo you. Here's one of his sketches...

Hey Herbsie, give me some time to get really good at making pants, and I'll pm you for your measurements. Be thinking about what kind of patches you want. I have mushrooms (lots of different prints), tie-dyes, batiks, celestial, botanicals, care bears, strawberry shortcake, smurfs, hello kitty, calicos, solids, vintage, etc....

Soulspeaker - First of all, I didn't deserve that... even IF you think I was being rude to you. I think YOU were being rude when you pm'd me telling me what I should do (i.e. be closer with the women on yahooka). I think it's funny how you speak to me like you've been on yahooka for ages and you have some sort of superior authority... when in actual fact you've only been on here 3 months longer than I have. If I'm going to listen to someone when they tell me what they think I should do, it probably wont be you.
Animal - I like your approach to things. "If you're cool to me, I'll be cool back" ... that's exactly how I go about things as well. I hate how people on here take things so seriously and get SO offended over the things I say... sure, maybe I shouldn't have said some of the things I have said on here... but probably everyone's said something they regret and really, why beat a dead horse? I hope we can get along and I'm sorry if I've ever said anything to offend you.

Wow Hooter! Is that miniature food? How cute! You ought to sell those on eBay. People will buy them for dollhouses! Even through the bluriness, they look really good! Very intricate... I love clay.
Pumpkin is also really good w/ clay. I'm gonna try to talk her into posting some pics.
